Overthrown

Sitting on a throne of polished wood
Robes and trinkets are misunderstood
I have been the first to cast the stone
But with a gesture you make this my home
And I am overthrown
I'm overthrown
I am overthrown
Overthrown

Warriors I've met out on the field
The scars of battle I will not reveal
I can't dictate the words upon my stone
But wrapped around me you make this my home
And I am overthrown
I'm overthrown
I am overthrown
Overthrown

Throw your coins into the well
Make your wishes, cast your spells
They led me out into the sun
To the hill over the bay
And all I was undone
And I am overthrown
I am overthrown
I'm overthrown

I've been king of all I can survey
From rags to riches each dog has its day
But when the revolution takes its toll
You'll be there to light the passageway
And I am overthrown
I'm overthrown
I am overthrown
Overthrown
I'm overthrown
I am overthrown
I'm overthrown
Overthrown
