Yet I couldn’t quite believe

I saw you quite distinct

As you’re rifling through my things

The cupboards are all bare

Of the tinctures and the wares

I accumulated through this mortal life

I’ve always been extremes

The nightmares and the dreams

The victories were small

The rise before the fall

The cupboards are all bare
